Why We Created This Summit

The Diversify Dietetics Community is full of RDs and RDs to Be of Color who are extremely talented, with unmatched work ethic and creativity. They are ideal nutrition entrepreneurs. But they may not have had the opportunity to learn or hone the skills needed to grow their own successful nutrition business. They have not had a training experience that both teaches them the essentials of a successful business owner and also honors the unique opportunities and challenges for RDs of Color. 

That is, until now! If you’re an RD or RD to Be of Color who wants to start or grow your nutrition business- this Summit was literally created for you! We believe that teaching you critical entrepreneurship skills will allow you to fill the need for a diverse nutrition expert your community and specialty area. Whether you want to work as a consultant with food brands, start your own private practice, or break into media work- we’ve got you covered!  

And we have that added bonus: You will be surrounded by the DD Community for the entire event. You’ll be free to learn and explore in a setting that is supportive, safe and inspirational. You'll create a network of colleagues who will be your accountability partners for years to come- partners who share your uniqueness as an RD of Color. Our events are truly like no others in the dietetics community!  

Summit Speakers

Our Summit speakers are professionals of color who are experts in nutrition and entrepreneurship. They understand the unique challenges that you face, but they also know that your diverse background and experience is your advantage and sets you apart from other RDs. Each speaker will present an interactive workshop that will allow you brainstorm your own business ideas with your peers, and to get their expert feedback. You will leave this Summit with an actionable plan to start growing and building your nutrition business- and 17 CEUs!

Summit Investment

One of the goals of Diversity Dietetics is to increase the access of training programs, like this Summit, to more RDs of Color. The RDs of Color Entrepreneurs Summit is one of the core programs developed for the DD Community, and is supported by donations. Similar events are offered at a rate of $700. Thanks to the support our generous donors, we are able to offer this event at a more accessible rate of $347.

For a registration fee of $347, attendees will receive: 

• 9 workshop-style retreat sessions designed specifically for RDs and RDs to be of Color 
• 17 CEUs from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• One-on-One feedback and support from Summit Speakers 
• Lunch, snacks and “Cocktails in the Garden” Happy Hour on Friday  
• Breakfast, lunch and snacks on Saturday and Sunday  
• Exclusive access to private RDs of Color Entrepreneurs Summit Facebook Group  
• A Food Photography Starter Kit

Enrollment for this Summit is limited to 25 attendees.

Payment Plan  

A payment plan is available for qualified Summit attendees. Payment plan enrollment ends on February 15, 2020. A deposit of $175 is required by February 21 2020. Remaining payment of $172 due no later than March 13, 2020. Payment plan agreements must be completed PRIOR to registration.
