Why We Created This Summit
The Diversify Dietetics Community is full of current and aspiring nutrition professionals of color who are extremely talented, with an unmatched work ethic and creativity. These professionals put their heart into their practice, combining their dietetics training with their culturally-sensitive expertise to provide unique services in a way that only nutrition professionals of color can. Now, these amazing professionals are sharing all this knowledge with you!
This is a professional development event like no other in nutrition and dietetics.
The one thread of this event- all of the speakers will be speaking about the experiences and the real work that they are doing RIGHT NOW to serve and care for clients, patients, students, and colleagues of color. You will leave this event with knowledge and skills that you can use to improve your culturally-sensitive practice!
This summit includes over 20 sessions, workshops, panels, and cooking demos across a wide variety of topics including clinical, community, entrepreneurship, sports nutrition, and more. Attendees will receive over 20 CEUs!
This event is ideal for anyone who works with or aspires to provide care to communities of color.
You’ll be free to learn and explore in a setting that is supportive, safe, and inspirational. Our events are truly like no others in the dietetics community!
An added bonus: Proceeds from this event support the programming we provide to the DD Community!
