FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What type of payment do you accept? We currently accept all major credit cards and debit cards, including those stored in Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal, as well as donations made via ACH/direct debit.  

What portion of my ticket is considered tax-deductible? If you purchased a Sponsor a Student Ticket, the full ticket price is tax deductible. Your tax-deductible charitable donation will be detailed on your ticket confirmation receipt email. 

I attended your #DDMeetup at FNCE 2019 in Philadelphia. Will this be a similar event? Sure is! You can expect the same inspiring and energizing vibe of our last FNCE event. Just like last time, we will have music, a full buffet-style dinner, the whole nine! There will also be some quieter spaces to hang out and catch up with colleagues and friends, and plenty of seating to rest your barking digs (as our grandmamas would say!) This year's event is also a fundraiser and will be featuring a short presentation of the accomplishments of the past year, and some exciting announcements of what we are working on over the next year.

  Can I expect a full dinner at this event? Of course! Not only can you expect a delicious and filling buffet-style dinner, but you'll also enjoy wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. And some good music!  

What should I wear? Dress like you're going out for a fun night with your friends- because you are! And if you plan to cut up on the dance floor, bring some flats once those heels come off!  

Will you have a coat check? No, we will not have a coat check at this event. Please plan to leave your luggage at your hotel or another location before heading to this event.

Do you offer refunds? We do not offer refunds. However, you may transfer you ticket to another person. Or you may choose to donate your ticket to a student attendee. To transfer a ticket or to donate your ticket to a student attendee, please contact us.  

What if the event is canceled? If the event is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, your full ticket price will be considered a tax-deductible contribution. Updated documentation will be sent out if this becomes necessary.  

Can I show my tickets on my phone at the door or do I need to have the physical tickets with me? No need to print of your tickets! Your email confirmation on your phone will work. 

I don't see DD member student rates for tickets. Will there be a discounted ticket for student members? Since this is a fundraiser for the Diversify Dietetics Community (meaning, you, the students!) we are selling all tickets at the same rate. But we haven't forgotten about you, students and interns! We have reserved q healthy portion of tickets for students to attend, and are currently raising funds to help cover the costs of those tickets. If you would like to be notified when those tickets are available, be sure to sign up for our RD2BE Registration Waitlist.  

Can I attend if I am under 21 years old? Yes. But you can't drink any of the alcoholic beverages being served. But you knew that already!  

You said there would be complimentary shuttles to take me to the event. When will I receive that information? We will be emailing more details about the complimentary shuttles to and from the Orlando Convention Center to the email that you used to register for the event by no later than September 23, 2022. Please keep an eye out for that email.  

Where should I park and is there a parking fee? There is free parking available at the Orlando Science Center. For directions to get to the center and where to park, click here.  

I'm not attending FNCE. Can I still come to this event? Yes! 

Do you provide special assistance for persons with disabilities? We are committed to making this event accessible to persons with disabilities. Assistive listening devices (“ALD”) are available for events at which sound amplification is used. If you need an ALD, or any other type of accommodation, please email us at registration@diversifydietetics.org at least 48 hours in advance of the event so we can work to meet your needs. 

Can I purchase tickets at the door? No. We take great care to ensure our guests have a fun, relaxing evening with a few surprises, so we need to know who you are! For us to plan the best experience possible, all tickets must be purchased no later than October 4, 2022, 11:59 P.M. EST.  

The name on the ticket doesn't match the attendee’s name. Is that ok? All tickets must match each attendee’s name. Please contact us if you need to transfer the name on the ticket. 

  Is there a way for me to get updates as the event gets closer as well as on the day of the event in case there is weather or traffic delays or other problems? We will be providing updates via email. If we need to contact you on the day of the event, we will communicate via email and text message to the number you provide when you purchased your ticket(s).
