FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I really want to attend this event, but it's sold out. Is there a waitlist for tickets? We are not maintaining a wait list for tickets due to limited space at the event venue. We sincerely appreciate your support. You can still help us to reach our fundraising goal by donating to our organization.

What type of payment do you accept? We currently accept all major credit cards and debit cards, including those stored in Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal, as well as donations made via ACH/direct debit.  

What portion of my ticket is considered tax-deductible? If you purchased an Early Bird Ticket, $30 of your $65 ticket is tax deductible. If you purchased a Regular Ticket, $45 of your ticket is tax deductible. If you purchased a Sponsor a Student Ticket, the full ticket price is tax deductible. Your tax deductible charitable donation will be detailed on your ticket confirmation receipt email. 

  I attended your #DDMeetup at FNCE 2018 in Washington, D.C. Will this be a similar event? Yes and no. You can expect the same inspiring and energizing vibe of last year's event. But this year, we are taking it to the next level with a legit party-- music., full buffet-style dinner, the whole nine! There will also be some quieter spaces to hang out and catch up with colleagues and friends. This year's event is also a fundraiser and will be featuring a short presentation of the accomplishments of the past year, and some exciting announcements of what we are working on over the next year.

  Can I expect a full dinner at this event? Of course! Not only can you expect an delicious and filling buffet-style dinner, you'll also enjoy wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages. And some good music!  

What should I wear? Dress like you're going out for a fun night with your friends- because you are! And if you plan to cut up on the dance floor, bring some flats once those heels come off!  

Will you have a coat check? You bet! Due to limited space, we won't be able to hold any luggage. 

  Do you offer refunds? We do not offer refunds. However, you may transfer you ticket to another person. Or you may choose to donate your ticket to a student attendee. To transfer a ticket or to donate your ticket to a student attendee, please contact us.  

What if the event is cancelled or postponed? If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, your full ticket price will be considered a tax-deductible contribution. Updated documentation will be sent out, if this becomes necessary.  

Can I show my tickets on my phone at the door or do I need to have the physical tickets with me? No need to print of your tickets! Your email confirmation on your phone will work. 

I don't see student rates for tickets. Will there be a discounted ticket for students? Since this is a fundraiser for the Diversify Dietetics Community (meaning, you, the students!) we are selling all tickets at the same rate. But we haven't forgotten about you students and interns! We have reserved a healthy portion tickets for students to attend, and are currently raising funds to help cover the costs of those tickets. If you would like to be notified when those tickets are available, be sure to sign up for our RD2BE Registration Waitlist.  

Can I attend if I am under 21 years old? Yes. But you can't drink the wine and beer. But you knew that already!  

Where should I park and is there a parking fee? There is not a designated parking lot, however there is street parking in the surrounding areas. The main entrance is located in the Piazza, by the stage/large TV screen, to the right of the large "Do What You Love" mural. See more about the WeWork NoLibs Venue here.  

I'm not attending FNCE. Can I still come to this event?

Yes! 

Do you have provide special assistance for persons with disabilites? We are committed to making this event accessible to persons with disabilities. Assistive listening devices (“ALD”) are available for events at which sound amplification is used. If you need an ALD, or any other type of accommodation, please email us at registration@diversifydietetics.org at least 48 hours in advance of the event so we can work to meet your needs. 

Can I purchase tickets at the door? No. We are planning some special surprises for all of our guests, so we need to know who you are! For us to plan the best experience possible, all tickets must be purchased no later than October 22, 2019, 11:59 P.M. EST.  

The name on the ticket doesn't match the attendee’s name. Is that ok? All tickets must match each attendee’s name. Please contact us if you need to transfer the name on the ticket. 

  Is there a way for me to get updates as the event gets closer as well as on the day of the event in case there is weather or traffic delays or other problems? We will be providing updates via email. If we need to contact you on the day of the event, we will communicate via email and text message to the number you provide when you purchased your ticket(s).
